Album-Tintin in the Land of the Soviets

The first Tintin adventure was created in 1929, yet this new colour version is surprisingly fresh and modern to read. Full of energy and enthusiasm, Tintin acquires his distinctive physical appearance as he jumps into a convertible car. To suggest speed Hergé drew the reporter's hair sticking up; the tuft remained forever after.

A Moulinsart-Casterman co-publication.

Specifications:

• 22.5 x 30.5 cm format (cover) • 144 pages + flyleaf pages • 4/4 printing on 115 g special offset paper • Sewn binding • glossy lamination

Tintin, c'est l'aventure N°13 - Le désert

TINTIN AND THE DESERT FROM THE LAND OF THE PHARAOHS TO THE LAND OF BLACK GOLD

Dunes undulating endlessly, a caravan stretching under the sun at its zenith, a teapot whispering on the embers... As Tintin often experienced, the desert, which seems so incredibly fixed, can turn out to be a hostile territory full of dangers. This is all the more true today: most of them have become uncertain, troubled and shifting zones, where the Westerner incurs perils far more serious than those faced by the young reporter in the 20th century... The Castafiore Emerald (Le Journal Tintin)

Rediscover the comedy as published in Tintin magazine!

In the early 1960s, Hergé was a man who was both fulfilled (in his private life) and accomplished (in his art). With "The Castafiore Emerald", for example, he challenges the codes of classic adventure in the form of a scathing comedy. The originals of the original version, originally published in "Tintin" magazine, had lain dormant in his archives for 60 years. Meticulously restored, these documents now allow us to give new life to the story of "The Castafiore Emerald". (French version, Le Journal Tintin edition).
