Description

NEW EDITION

The maritime world plays an important role in Hergé's work: out of twenty-three Tintin adventures, fifteen albums feature boats. From Ramona to Pachacamac, from Sirius to La Licorne, without forgetting of course the extraordinary submarine of Professor Tournesol, this theme allowed Hergé to address a multitude of subjects: friendship first of all, that of the captain Haddock, piracy, the search for treasure, slavery…

This updated album retraces the maritime adventures of our two heroes. It takes stock of the fleet of boats created by Hergé and gives a larger place to all the real or imaginary sailors who crisscrossed the seas of Tintinesque adventure or haunted its ports. It demonstrates that Hergé demonstrates striking technical realism in terms of navigation or geographical framework, an opportunity for all his readers to (re)discover the meticulous art of a brilliant artist who has not finished giving us make dream…
